Term 2
Hi everyone,
Welcome to Term 2. This term is a busy one. We have Self Defense for the Year 8 girls, lots of Student Engagement activities during our lunch hour, Winter sports has started, and also this term we begin bringing homework home.
Each day the children are required to read. This can be anything as long as they can read it. Parents please question the children on what they are reading: Who, What, When, How, Where are all good prompts.
Also there will be math homework. This will be out on Tuesday and needs to be completed and back at school on Thursday. Other activities will include their Learning Block which ends in week 5. Also for those children reading novels, they have novel studies to complete.
Homework will be posted here weekly so you are able to monitor it.
Just a quick reminder to please not phone or text your children during class time. Leave this for break time. These times are: Morning Tea 10:35 till 11:00 and Lunch 12:30 till 1:25. If there is an urgent message please phone the school.
If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to contact me on 027 2376373 or the school office 3489888.
Have a fantastic term.

Kaiako Introduction
Kia Ora. Welcome to the class of Stafford 2 for 2010. My name is Billie-Lee Turoa or Whaea Bille for all those students out there. I am a beginning teacher and have studied with Massey University for the past 4 years. I am a mother of 2, a daughter who is 6 years old and a son who is 2. I enjoy the great outdoors, playing sport, and having a good laugh.
I am looking forward to working with you all in an environment where we are all learning together, myself included, and having fun together. My expectations for you all are to just try your best and strive to reach all your goals, whilst displaying appropriate behaviour and attitude towards the 3R's.
A Term Overview for our class and our Class Timetable is available on this site to keep everyone engaged with what is going on in our classroom. These may change or have additions made to them on a regular basis so I would advise you to check in weekly.
My quote for you: "you have to sink a little to be able to swim great lengths"
I look forward to working with you all. Please leave a small comment or introduction to this post.
